The population of Bangladesh live in a kind of cultural isolation: without contact with foreign countries or information. The majority of them has no concrete possibility to move abroad; especially in the countryside they live in a very isolated condition: no electricity, no television, or any internet connection. In a country where tradition and religion rule life (and 90 percent of the population is Muslim) habits, customs, relationships and the entire life are strongly influenced by religion. As well as cultural environment, instruction as well is affected by religion: because of that Madrasah are most common than regular schools.

Ramadan is the most important muslim’s celebration and the entire country lives this month in a serious depth. It is quite impossible to see women on the streets: they stay at home reading the holy Koran and preparing for the Iftar (daily breaking of the fast).
