“Of Hunting and Nature” is a documentary project about nature, wildlife and hunting in Italy within the twelve months of the year and the four seasons. The project started in 2014, and still in progress, involves not only  photography but also: watercolors, objects (finds), texts, maps, illustrations, drawings and videos.

“I tried to do that with the approach of a documentary photographer but also with basic knowledges of hunting, vernacular literature, neutralistic science, taxidermy, zoology and ethology”.

The final result will be a series of books plus a series of original watercolors and a physical installation (cabinet of curiosities) called: “Collection”. “Collection“ involves natural finds and interesting objects (natural and no-natural) collected during the researches on the Italian’s woods and then cataloged, prepared and preserved inside a handmade showcases, bottles and jars.
